Over 4,500 HDB BTO units including prime model projects in Bukit Merah and Queenstown to be launched

On Friday (May 27), a total of 4,583 Build To Order (BTO) flats were launched across five estates, including two developments in Bukit Merah and Queenstown under the Prime Location Public Housing (PLH) model.

The other projects are in Toa Payoh, Jurong West, and Yishun, according to a press statement from the Housing and Development Board (HDB).

The Sale of Balance Units (SBF) scheme offered an additional 1,952 flats.

Bukit Merah Ridge, the third PLH project, will contain 1,669 units of three and four-room flats, according to HDB.

The development, which is bordered by Bukit Merah View, Henderson Road, Tiong Bahru Road, and Lower Delta Road, consists of five blocks ranging in height from 29 to 48 storeys.

Last year, the PLH model was implemented to ensure that all HDB flats, especially those in prime and central locations, remain affordable and accessible in the long run.

In November of last year, the first two projects under the new model, both in the Rochor region, were inaugurated.

Ghim Moh Ascent

Ghim Moh Ascent in Bukit Merah, the fourth project under the PLH, offers 867 units of three and four-room flats.

The project, which is near the Buona Vista MRT station, consists of four residential blocks, two of which are 40 stories tall while the other two are between eight and 31 stories tall.

Kim Keat Heights, which will be built near the intersection of Lorong 6 and Lorong 7 in Toa Payoh, is another project in this BTO exercise. It will consist of two residential complexes with 385 units of two, three, and four-room flats, ranging in height from 27 to 36 stories.

According to HDB, both blocks will have some rental units.

Meanwhile, Lakeside View, which is located near Jurong Lake and Jurong Lake Gardens, consists of seven residential buildings ranging in height from 11 to 18 stories.

According to the HDB, apartment buyers can pick between 1,016 units of two-room Flexi, three, four, and five-room flats.

Yishun Beacon will include five 14-story blocks, surrounded by Yishun Central 1 and Yishun Avenue 2, with 646 units of two-room flexi flats, as well as four and five-room flats.

All of the buildings will include environmentally friendly elements such as separate chutes for recyclable rubbish and regenerative lifts to save energy.

According to HDB, they will also include “smart-enabled residences” with options for easy installation of smart equipment and smart lighting in common spaces to cut energy consumption.

Home buyers who want to move into their flats as soon as possible can look into the projects in Jurong West and Yishun, according to HDB.
