The Housing and Development Board (HDB) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said today (Dec 16) that they are releasing five residential sites for sale this month under the 2nd half 2013 (2H2013) Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
The five land parcels are expected to yield about 3,000 residential units collectively, the HDB and URA said in a joint statement issued this morning.
Sale of the site on Geylang East Avenue 1 was launched for sale today, triggered through the Reserve List system when a developer committed to bid at least S$95 million for the land in the public tender.
The four other residential sites were released for sale under the Confirmed List as announced earlier in the 2H2013 GLS Programme.
The Yishun Avenue 9 land parcel and two adjacent Executive Condominium sites at Choa Chu Kang Grove were also launched for sale today, while the residential site at Sims Drive will go on sale on Dec 30.
All five sites are on a 99-year lease.
The smallest of the sites, the Geylang East site near Aljunied MRT station and the Geylang East public library, is just over 6,200 sq m, and is expected to yield 215 units.
The largest is on Sims Drive at about 23,900 sq m, subject to a cadastral survey, and could see an estimated 900 units being built. The site is bounded by Sims Drive, Aljunied Road and the Pan Island Expressway to the north.
