More than 160 of the 250 units available for sale at the preview launch of Watertown, Singapore’s first integrated waterfront residential and retail development, were snapped up within five hours yesterday evening.
Singaporeans accounted for more than 90 per cent of the buyers, said Far East Organization, one of the three developers of the project. The SOHO apartments and suites received the most interest.
The other two developers of the 992-unit development in Punggol Central are Frasers Centrepoint and Japan’s Sekisui House.
More units will be released at the official launch, which has been brought forward to tomorrow.
Watertown will be the largest private development in Punggol Central when completed, estimated in 2017, Far East Organization said. The retail component, known as Waterway Point, will be ready in 2015.
