The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched the residential site at Jalan Jurong Kechil and the hotel site at Jurong Town Hall Road for sale by public tender today.
The land parcel at Jalan Jurong Kechil was made available for sale through the Reserve List system on 13 November 2006. On 5 September 2012, URA announced that it had received an application from a developer to put up the land parcel for tender. The developer has committed to bid at a price of not less than $23,964,237 on a 60-year lease term for the land parcel in the public tender.
The site has a land area of about 1.02 ha and a gross floor area of about 14,200 m2 with a lease option of 30 years, 45 years or 60 years. This short-term lease site is zoned for residential development and can be developed into a condominium or flat. The successful tenderer of this site has the flexibility to develop the site for retirement housing.
Tender for the site will close at 12 noon on 15 November 2012. Selection of the successful tenderer will be based on the tendered land price only. Any tender below the accepted minimum price of $23,964,237 for a 60-year lease term or its equivalents of $17,973,178 for a 30-year lease term and $21,507,903 for a 45-year lease term will not be considered.

The developer has committed to bid at a price of not less than $101,988,888 for the land parcel in the public tender.
This first hotel site in Jurong Lake District is prominently located at Jurong Town Hall Road, one of the main thoroughfares in Jurong Lake District and close to the picturesque Jurong Lake. With a land area of 0.9 ha and a potential gross floor area of about 19,000 m2, this land parcel is envisaged for a distinctive hotel development with a garden setting and will further anchor Jurong Lake District as a unique lakeside destination for business and leisure.
Tender for the site will close at 12 noon on 20 November 2012. Selection of the successful tenderer will be based on the tendered land price only. Any tender below the minimum bid price of $101,988,888 will not be considered.
