The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched the tender for a residential site at Bedok Reservoir Road.
It has also accepted an application from a developer to put up the residential site at Bartley Road and Lorong How Sun for sale via public tender.
The two residential sites can in total potentially yield about 1,260 housing units and will offer home-buyers with more housing choices.
The land parcel at Bedok Reservoir Road is the first residential site to be sold through the Confirmed List under the Government Land Sales Programme for the first half of 2011.
With a site area of about 4.56 hectares, the land parcel will have a maximum permissible gross floor area of over 63 thousand square metres and can potentially yield about 640 housing units.
The site is well connected to major expressways and is close to the future Bedok Town Park MRT station on the Downtown Line.
The Bartley Road site has an area of about 2.21 hectares and will have a maximum permissible gross floor area of over 61 thousand square metres and can potentially yield about 620 housing units.
This land parcel was available for sale through the Reserve List system since November 2009.
The tender was triggered because URA received an application from a developer who committed to bid at a price of not less than S$191.7 million.
URA will launch the public tender for the site in about three weeks.
