The inaugural South-east Asia Property Awards 2011 to honour the best talents in the industry will be held in Singapore on Nov 30.
The awards are co-organised by Channel NewsAsia and publishing firm Ensign Media.
Ms Debra Soon, Channel NewsAsia managing director of news, said: “We are happy to play a part in explaining to viewers the stories behind the growth of the regional real estate industry and the many opportunities these present to the world.”
Noting that South-east Asia’s residential properties are among the most beautiful in the world and that Channel NewsAsia had featured many of these properties in its programmes, Ms Soon said: “It’s an important sector in the overall growth of Asia, and we reach key decision makers and affluent adults all over the region.”
Real estate experts, including Mr Nick Candy, the developer behind London’s One Hyde Park, will sit on the panel of judges.
There will be 20 award categories including best developer, both regionally and in the various countries across South-east Asia. Other categories include best condo development and best villa development.
