Safra Mount Faber to undergo facelift; co-working space among new facilities

Safra Mount Faber is to undergo a facelift by mid-2019, complete with new facilities such as a dedicated co-working space.

The four-storey lifestyle club in Telok Blangah Way will begin enhancement works in late July.

Several entertainment facilities and food outlets at the club will be closed from July 9 in preparation for the enhancement works.

The new club will feature an industrial chic look, and will better meet the lifestyle needs of a growing number of professional, managers and executives in Singapore.

For instance, it will have a dedicated co-working space, the first of its kind among Safra clubs here.

It will be fully equipped with high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi, projectors and video conferencing capabilities, among other workplace amenities.

This will allow NSmen to work, conduct group discussions or host networking events. Regular talks by industry professionals will also be organised at the space.

The club’s lobby will also be refurbished to allow open mic nights and stand-up comedy shows to be held there.

In addition, American burger chain Fatburger will open its first drive-through outlet at the club. It will be the fast-food chain’s third outlet in Singapore.

Karaoke fans can also look forward to visits to Party World KTV.

The club will also add a new dance studio for aerobic activities and courses, in a bid to boost its fitness and wellness offerings.

Currently, the club has a gym, swimming pool, bowling centre, futsal court, badminton courts and outdoor multi-purpose court.

Safra Mount Faber executive committee chairman, Lieutenant-Colonel (NS) Kelvin Tan Lee Thong, said that the enhanced club will be a vibrant and convenient destination at the fringe of the city centre where NSmen can unwind, network, as well as bond with their families.

They can also make use of the co-working space, if they need to attend to work matters urgently, without the need to travel elsewhere, he said.

“Having all these facilities housed in one location will make it easier for our busy NSmen to juggle their work-life commitments,” he added.
