Resale prices of private homes rose marginally in February, according to Singapore Residential Price Index (SRPI) flash estimates released on Monday (Mar 28).
The SRPI, compiled by the National University of Singapore’s Institute of Real Estate Studies, showed overall prices rose 0.4 per cent in February from the previous month. In January, prices rose 0.2 per cent from a month earlier.
Prices of homes in the central region, excluding small units, led the increase, rising 0.5 per cent from the previous month. In the non-central region, prices of homes, excluding small units, rose 0.3 per cent.
In contrast, prices of small units, which have a floor area of 506sqf or below, fell 1.1 per cent in February compared to the previous month.
