The Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) has appointed former civil servant Lee Suan Hiang as its new CEO, replacing Dr Steven Choo.
The appointment will take effect Dec 8.
Mr Lee, 61, has previously served as deputy managing director of the Economic Development Board and chief executive of SPRING Singapore, Productivity and Standards Board (PSB), National Productivity Board, Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research and National Arts Council and chairman of PSB Corp. He was awarded the Public Administration (Gold) Medal in 1998.
“Mr Lee’s appointment comes at an opportune time with the Government encouraging greater private sector participation in formulating new policies,” said REDAS president Wong Heang Fine.
“With Mr Lee’s broad public sector experience and proven track record in developing industries, he will be able to strengthen REDAS’s input into future government policies,” Mr Wong said.
