HDB resale prices up 0.5% on-quarter in Q2 2013

The Housing & Development Board’s (HDB) flash estimate of the Resale Price Index (RPI) showed that resale prices rose moderately by 0.5 per cent in the second quarter of 2013 over the first quarter.

The RPI for the second quarter 2013 is 206.5. In the first quarter 2013, the RPI was 205.5

HDB said this is the lowest quarter-on-quarter RPI growth since the first quarter of 2009.

HDB will release the RPI for the full quarter (Q2) later on July 26.

HDB said it will launch 25,000 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats this year.

In the first half of 2013, HDB offered 12,100 flats under BTO exercises and 3,100 flats under a Sale of Balance Flats exercise.

This month, HDB will offer about 3,800 BTO flats in Bukit Merah, Sengkang, and Yishun.
