A NEW mall at Serangoon Central has secured 30-per-cent commitment rate for its food and beverage outlets and speciality shops – more than four months after it broke ground.
Expected to open by the end of next year, the mall – christened “nex” – will be the biggest mall in north-east Singapore. Anchor tenants include cineplex operator Shaw Organisation, foodcourt operator Food Junction, hypermarket FairPrice Xtra and Japanese-themed restaurant group RE&S Enterprises.
Negotiations to secure a department store retailer to take up 50,000 sq ft of lettable space are in a “very advanced stage”, said Gold Ridge in a press release.
Located at 23 Serangoon Central, nex is a six-storey mall with over 600,000 sq ft of nett lettable area. It will be integrated with a new bus interchange, Serangoon MRT station and the upcoming Serangoon Circle Line station.
