Strategically located in the prime area of District 10, d’Leedon sits on an expansive 840,049 sq ft, 99-year leasehold site along Farrer Road. The first condominium in Singapore to be designed by internationally-renowned Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Zaha Hadid, the landmark project will comprise a total of 1,715 units – comprising 1,703 apartments in seven 36-storey towers and 12 exclusive semi-detached houses.
Rising majestically above the surrounding good class bungalows and low-rise condominiums, the project’s seven 36-storey towers will offer unobstructed views of Singapore’s skyline as well as breathtaking views of large expanses of greenery such as Botanic Gardens and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The towers occupy only 22 per cent of the site, freeing up a vast 655,238 sq ft of land for greenery and lifestyle facilities.
The site is designated into five landscape bands that are inspired by the distinct components of mountain ecosystems – rock, forest, water, foothills and meadow. Each landscape band has a unique character and ambience, created by a kaleidoscope of plant species and paving surfaces that brings out the essence of each thematic band. The individuality of these bands is further enhanced through the spatial arrangement in lighting and differing facilities, hence creating a memorable visual and spatial experience as one passes along or across the bands.
With the Farrer Road MRT Station on the Circle Line walking distance away, d’Leedon residents will be easily and quickly connected to other parts of Singapore such as the Central Business District. The project is close to highly-sought-after top schools like Nanyang Primary School, Raffles Girls’ Primary School and Hwa Chong Institution, as well as popular lifestyle hubs such as Dempsey Hill, Holland Village and Orchard Road.
Buyers will have a choice of apartment types, namely one plus study-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, penthouses, three-storey garden homes and semi-detached garden villas. The apartment units range from 590 square feet to 2,400 square feet in size, while the penthouses and three-storey garden homes are about 2,800 square feet to 6,500 square feet in size.
Along the site’s western boundary, 12 semi-detached houses (5,500 square feet to 7,400 square feet in size) will also offer their residents the experience of living in a landed property while enjoying the full facilities of a condominium.
The condominium provides a full suite of recreational facilities, including two 50-metre lap pools, dipping pools, Jacuzzis, water gym, children’s wet play pool, eco-pond, reflecting pools, three party houses, barbeque areas, tennis courts, two clubhouses with reading rooms, games rooms, karaoke rooms, golf simulator rooms and screening rooms, spa pavilions, gymnasium, outdoor event spaces, retail areas and restaurants.
Zaha Hadid’s distinctive sensuous and seamless lines are also showcased in the architectural design for d’Leedon’s 25,000-square-foot show gallery, her first such project in Singapore. The show gallery features a beautifully-designed three-storey, 6,501 sq ft bespoke show suite by Zaha Hadid, complete with spacious living areas and landscaped garden. Potential buyers will also be able to view four other exquisitely furnished and themed show suites in one plus study-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartment configurations, targeted at homebuyers at different stages of their lives.
Temporary Occupation Permit for the condominium is expected to be obtained in 2015.
