The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development company has signed three more industrial land deals involving more than S$202.7 million (1 billion yuan) in investments.
The company also announced strategic collaborations with three leading companies in the eco technology field which would help Tianjin Eco City to achieve its targets and lay the foundation for further economic development and job creation.
The first of the deals is with Tianjin House Construction Development Group that will invest 60.8 million Sing dollars to develop low carbon and energy-efficient green buildings in the Eco-Business Park.
This development will also house its sustainable housing R&D institute, which is the first of its kind in China.
The second deal is with a unit of Singapore’s Keppel Integrated Engineering, which plans to develop and operate a district heating and cooling system in the Park.
Lastly, a Chinese firm called Sichuan Neautus Traditional Chinese Medicine plans to invest S$101.3 million for the processing and distribution of Chinese Herbal medicine for Eastern and Northern China as well as export markets.
Tianjin Eco City also signed three strategic partnerships today, with Japanese firm Hitachi, Chinese firm Envision, and Singapore’s ST Electronics, to test bed various eco-technologies in the city.
