Private home prices inched up 0.4 per cent in the third quarter, a slowdown from the 1 per cent increase recorded in the preceding three months, real estate data released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority today (Oct 25) showed.
Prices of non-landed properties in the Core Central Region (CCR) declined by 0.3 per cent, after the 0.2 per cent decrease in the previous quarter.
In the Rest of Central Region (RCR), prices decreased by 0.9 per cent; this is the first decrease recorded in the region since the first quarter of last year.
Prices in the Outside Central Region (OCR) increased by 2.2 per cent, which is lower than the 3.8 per cent increase in the previous quarter.
Rentals of private residential properties increased by 0.2 per cent in Q3, a decline from the 0.3 per cent increase in Q2.
For launches and take-up, developers launched 3,313 uncompleted private residential units (excluding ECs) for sale in Q3 this year, fewer than the 4,395 units in the preceding quarter.
Developers sold 2,430 private residential units in 3rd Quarter 2013, significantly fewer than the 4,538 units sold in 2nd Quarter 2013.
